Garden Mural
School Pupils from Sydney Smith School design and paint Garden Mural.

On 24th September 2010 pupils from the Sydney Smith School attended our Day Care Centre to see their artwork being displayed on the outside garden container for the benefit of all who use our Centre.
The pupils worked hard to provide a bright and attractive display that would brighten up the garden container and thereby complete the Sensory Garden Project.
They each painted A3 sized (297x420mm) pictures of plants, leaves and shrubs etc. and these were then laminated and joined to make a massive 16 ft x 4 ft Garden Mural that was then attached to the Garden Container (previously shipping container).
"The end result is amazing, it cheers up all who see it and the Elderly Day Centre members are so pleased that young school pupils have taken the time to provide something so nice for them. It also helps to tackle the negative view they have of younger people and encourages younger people to consider the Elderly in a positive light also."
We already have very positive links with a number of local Primary Schools as they sing Carols at Christmas and help our Charity in other ways. This latest Project is the first to involve pupils and teachers from the Sydney Smith School and we hope that this will continue.
We believe that many great things can be achieved when charities, schools, groups and agencies etc. work together for the benefit of all in our local Community.
Many Grateful Thanks to all who made this project possible.
